Migration strategy

We move the checkout off the legacy session store in three passes. The first introduces the new Cart aggregate behind a feature flag, writing to both stores so nothing user-facing changes.

The second pass flips reads to the new aggregate for internal accounts only. We accept a two-week window where both stores are authoritative and reconcile nightly. The third pass removes the legacy writer and drops the old table.

Rollback at any point is a flag flip. Nothing in the first two passes is destructive, and the nightly reconciliation job reports drift to the payments channel before it reaches a customer.

Open questions

Idempotency keys are currently derived from the session id, which does not survive the migration.

Versions and diffs

Every revision is a version. Compare any two, and reach the discussion an earlier draft left behind.

Separate MCP and site-review scopes, stored hashed. Give an agent exactly the reach it needs and no more.

Structured decisions

An agent can mark a passage as a decision with options. The reviewer picks one, and the choice comes back structured.

Which agents does it work with?

Any agent that speaks Model Context Protocol. It authenticates with a scoped API token and calls document_create or document_revise, and gets a shareable review URL back.

Do reviewers need to be technical?

No. They open a URL and read rendered Markdown. Selecting text and leaving a comment is the whole interaction. No repository access, no terminal, no diff to parse.

What happens to a comment when the document changes?

Anchors are re-located against the new text. When the quoted passage is genuinely gone, the thread stays and says so rather than silently attaching itself to the wrong paragraph.

Can I move from hosted to self-hosted later?

Yes, it is the same application. Export your data and run the container. The AGPL licence guarantees you the source either way.
